One of the readers (thank you, Zohar) gave me a reference to a Web site created by James Ward to check if a site was created in Flex
http://www.jamesward.org/is_it_flex/

If you try this URLhttp://www.time.com/time/flash/time50BestWebsites/top5/top5_websites.swf you'll see that the site was not created in Flex. Oh, well, at least it's ActionScript :)

Yakov,
Sorry - no Flex there, just pure Flash with minor customization - as a result 64K instead of 400K it would take with Flex + data. Actually there is another SWF there - for rss processing - similar to our WebService one. I would not expect Time or other media companies to use Flex for mainstream publishing till standard RSLs will be on 80%+ of computers - sometime within 4-5 month.
